Daniel Severino (born 11 February 1982 in Sydney, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player currently playing for Bankstown City Lions in the NSW Premier League.[1]

Severino began his career with Marconi before moving to Italy to play with Piacenza for a fee of $500,000[citation needed]. He failed to appear in the first team in 3 seasons and made a move to Millwall under manager Mark McGee.

After failing to make any appearances for Millwall he returned to Marconi before playing in Iceland and Sweden.[2] In 2007 Severino returned to Australia to play for Bankstown City. In May 2007 Severino travelled to Scotland to trial with Motherwell where he refused a one year deal.[3].[4] In 2008 Severino joined Sliema Wanderers where they most recently won the Trophy Cup Final and progressed through to the second round of the UEFA Cup[1][5] - Severino, however, did not appear for the club in its UEFA Cup games.[6]

As of May 15, 2009, Severino was on trial with A-League side Perth Glory but did not sign due to salary cap restrictions..[7] As of June 2, Severino has recently re-signed with Bankstown and scored a hatrick on debut for the Lions.
